  1.       The  multiple-choice  questions  that follow each Patient Management
  2. Problem are designed to enhance comprehension of the material presented in
  3. the  case  simulation.    Following  each  Patient Management Problem, the 
  4. DISCOTEST  program  will  proceed  to  a  set  of  twenty  multiple-choice
  5. questions based on the case you have just completed.  Each multiple-choice
  6. question consists of a brief problem and five possible responses, of which
  7. only one is considered to be correct or most appropriate.  You may use the
  8. information you have learned in the patient management portion of the test
  9. to answer the multiple-choice questions.  You may select only one response
  10. for  each  question and will receive the critique of your response as well
  11. as references to appropriate  chapters  in  SCIENTIFIC  AMERICAN  Medicine
  12. immediately thereafter.

  16.      Before  you  attempt  to  complete the multiple-choice  questions,  we
  17. suggest that you read the chapters in SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN  Medicine  listed
  18. at  the  end  of  the  Patient  Management  Problem.   To  facilitate this,
  19. DISCOTEST allows you to quit (using F10=Quit) after the case simulation has
  20. been completed and before the multiple-choice section begins.  If you elect
  21. to quit at this point, when you later restart the case, DISCOTEST will pro-
  22. vide  you  with  the  option  of proceeding directly to the multiple-choice
  23. questions without reviewing the entire case simulation.

  27.      To  receive  any  CME credit for a test, you must complete the Patient
  28. Management Problem and all twenty multiple-choice questions.  If you do not
  29. answer the multiple-choice questions,  the  computer will not generate your
  30. 18-digit CME certification code number.

  32.      For  each  correct  response  that  you  make  on  the  mutiple-choice
  33. questions,  you  will  be  awarded  a  positive score.  Your total score is 
  34. expressed  as  a  percentage  of correct responses out of twenty questions.
